“What I most enjoyed about Global Village was seeing the Cambridge Group, including my two daughters, interacting with people from many different countries, particularly with the Peruvian delegation who were staying in the same camp as us.  I learnt Spanish several years ago and was glad to have the opportunity to put it to use again helping to translate between the two groups when necessary.  By the end of the camp the two groups of children were getting on very well together without the need for much interpretation between them.

I'm sure that all participants at the Global Village event came away with a greater understanding of the similarities and differences between their own culture and those of people from other countries and cultures after spending over a week living in a truly multi-cultural community.
